I want to make a confession...
You know how I said I don't like the behavior of obsession?
I still don't like it...but I have to confess,
I just LOVE owl so much until I feel like I have the tendency to become obsess of it!!
I want a pet owl so much, I am just madly in love with owl.
They are so cute and mysterious.
I have a shirt with owl sewn on it, I have a file with owl picture on it, I took a picture with an owl when I went to Bird Park, Kuala Lumpur.
I just love them >.<
I want to have a pet owl just as much (maybe more) as I want to have a cat and iguana as a pet when I live independently ^_^
But I'm worried if I have these three amazing animals under one roof, will they eat each other if I'm out to work and leave them at home alone? o.O

But I just might choose owl over cats and iguanas...surprisingly...but I just might :p

Spent the whole day with Thairy :)
We went to Sunway Pyramid,
had lunch at Fullhouse,
window shopping here and there,
I bought a birthday present for Wendy (her birthday was yesterday).
Went to his house and finally meet his cat, Pall.
Had dinner together in Shah Alam together with Awie.
It was a fun quality day together :)
Love you ♥

Wish we can spend time like this more often.
But what to do...distance is a big challenge in our relationship.

Sorry that I left this blog without any updates for awhile.
I've been busy.
I played for a gig recently, Anugerah Juara Lagu Ke-26.
I must say that this year's AJL is way better than last year.
The orchestra sounded SO MUCH BETTER from last year.
There are so many friends from UiTM that played for AJL, UiTM students/alumni conquered AJL this year!!!

Anyway, I wanted to talk about the standards of AJL...
This event suppose to be a professional event among local singers/composers, in other words, this is not a singing competition for those who wants to be famous, this is for people who are already famous, haha.
So, regardless of how old you are,
you'll need to be up to the standard.
which will lead to this certain 17 year-old singer, Najwa Latiff.
Look, I've seen comments all around saying that because of her age people should be considerate, because of her age she should be given a chance...
Okay, I agree, everyone deserve a chance, but when it comes to the level of AJL, you should be up to the standards.
Who says acoustic music can't be in the standard of those high range ballad?
It can, but the standard must be there.
I am honestly surprised that she even made it into AJL.
I'm not saying that her song is bad, different people have different taste,
but I think, any professional musicians can tell that her song is not yet in the level of AJL.

She didn't win any categories, which kind of save the standards of AJL...
I'm not trying to be mean,
for someone her age, she accomplished more than people of her age could possibly get,
she owns that platform to become someone important in the industry,
but she just have so much to improve, so much more to learn before I can say that she deserve to be in the standard of AJL.
I would say that it is her luck to be selected as the finalist,
the song ain't really that attractive to me,
the range stays the same,
I can't feel the development of the music,
I can't tell where is the climax of the music,
I can't sense the emotion in the music,
No matter how simple the music is, it should not abandon these elements.
To those people that say she shouldn't be criticized coz she's only 17...that's bullshit...
if you want to be part of a professional event, you must be prepared for the harsh criticism,
and my not-so-harsh-criticism will be that she's not in the level of AJL, when she sings it sounds flat (and I'm not talking about the live version), there's no variety in the music, you can count how many notes in the melody...which leads to small range...and the music is just not that interesting. The one thing that make that song so popular is because it's about meeting someone in Facebook and everyone is using Facebook and somehow want to relate to it.

It's a fun song...but not in the professional level.
Here, in comparison...just to show to you the difference, I'll put two videos...
one of Najway Latiff, and another one is by another singer who also didn't win anything that night with a simple song as well...

This song is by Aizat, called Sungai Lui.
This song is very simple, he didn't even scream around to show the climax of the song but I know where's the climax because there's development in the music and the arrangement is nicer...

And this is Cinta Muka Buku by Najwa Latiff.
I'm not saying the song is not nice,
I just don't feel it in the same level even though it is just as simple as Sungai Lui.
Every verse and chorus sounds the same to me...no development.
I can hear the different sections of the song...but it just sound as a different section to me, nothing more...I just don't get anything, even the shape of the music is pretty much the same that I actually got bored halfway...

I know probably there are people who will disagree with me,
I'm fine with that, people come with their own state of mind.
But this is what I think...in a professional way, I still believe she has so much more to learn,
as a person, I think she's lucky and should work hard if she's serious in being part of this industry. All the best to her.

Do you believe in the so called apocalypse that will end the world this year?
I personally don't...
I'm not saying that it's impossible,
but I just think that if it's going to happen, it's not going to happen as we predicted.

Why?
Coz...from my beliefs, humans are not suppose to know the actual date of "that" event.
Yes, we will see the signs...
but at the same time, we're not suppose to know or...never going to figure out when it's going to really happen.

I try not to think about it,
but when I see an article about it,
doesn't matter scientifically or religiously...
it gives me shivers.
It made me think about how it feels like to die...
and what will happen after I die...

What if I end up in hell? I kinda know I will with all the sins I've done >.<
I can't even stand a small fire from the kitchen...

I try not to think too much of it...
But at the same time,
I am more aware of what I'm doing.

We're all going to die sooner or later,
I know that...
but,
I just don't want to be scared when it's my time to leave.

Sometimes I feel that I care too much that it hurts...

Coz I hate the fact that you're ruining yourself, your future...
I just can't stand watching other people,
those that use to be behind you,

Sometimes I feel like you're moving backwards...

but every time I say something,

Hi. I mentioned about Sereni&Shentel before in my blog.
If you missed it, then it's a brand for headbands.
I've been buying Sereni&Shentel lately, I don't regret it, but I feel bad!! Hahaha
This is my mini collection of Sereni&Shentel so far.

This is a custom made headband,
I don't really design it, but I choose every single colours and materials of this headbands, from the base colour, to the stones.
When I ordered it, this is how it looks like.

This just came in today ^_^
It looks the same, of course it's a bit different in the photo, all because I can't find a good angle for it ;(

This is a limited edition headbands,
something in the artist series or something, it was on sale, for 50%,
and I like this design, it's called peacock.

And this is a set purchase that I bought during Christmas last year.
My very first purchase of Sereni&Shentel's Headbands.

So, this is basically my headbands from Sereni&Shentel.
And it's comfortable to wear.
And it got notice by people when I wear it. Hahaha!
That never happen to any other headbands that I have!

Even though it is expensive,
but I just can't help it,
and I don't really regret it even though I do feel guilty for not sticking to my plan of saving money >.<
Okay! Okay! I got what I want, and I will restrain myself from the website for a few months.

When your opinions or ideas are rejected without consideration and having people laugh at it when everyone's ideas are taken into consideration no matter how dumb/complicated/ridiculous it sounds like?
I do...
Yes, I laugh at it too..
Yes, I just smile and shrug...
Yes, I acted like it's nothing...

and yes....it hurts like hell inside...

Why can't my idea been taken into consideration?
The question was; "What music you want to play this year?"
People suggested this and that,
but when I give a suggestion, what did I get?
Some laughter, like what I said was a big fat joke...
and it wasn't taken into consideration........at all...
Even if it did sound stupid,
was it really necessary to make me feel like a joke?
I already have a very low level of self-esteem...
so thank you very much for improving it to below the bar of "critical"

I know I'm nobody,
I'm not a person with great minds,
I'm not a person with great ideas,
I'm sorry that I can't give any brilliant ideas,

Story of My Life

I guess that's pretty much the life of a quiet, shy, unfriendly individual like myself.
Nope, I'm not complaining...and I'm not necessarily behaving like that to everyone.
I guess those who know me well won't believe that I am like how I describe myself.
But for those who don't know me that well, they'll most probably think I am a snob, and nope, I'm not making that up, I have a few people personally confessed to me on this matter.

Sometimes there are boundaries for me to socialize and language issue is just one of them.
People are nice to me, I'm not particularly their close friends, but at least they don't act awkwardly around me.
But I guess at the end of the day...I still feel isolated....like that girl in that picture?
When walking in a group, I'm usually at the back of the group walking alone.
Not that I don't want to join them, just that I can't understand them. Hahahaha.
Don't worry, I don't blame them, it is completely understandable.
It is just among my many flaws to only be able to communicate in the language of Malay and English.

As I am trying to be more optimistic,
I don't always look at it as a bad thing,
I do have my mood swings sometimes, and that will be the time when I hate my life most. Hahaha.
But generally, I don't really become desperate for attention from friends, I look at it as a way to teach myself to not be too dependent for company.
Sometimes it does makes me feel lonely, especially when I really need someone to spend time with, but I will try to tell myself that there are people with worse fate than me and that I should not make a big fuss over it.

Even though, I admit,
I can't help myself at times. Hahaha...

Going Solo

Today, after I'm done working, I went to KLCC by myself (which practically what the title of this post means).
I wanted to go to Kinokuniya to get some books and buy some other stuff at Body Shop as well.
However, what I'm looking for in Kinokuniya is currently out of stock.
I ended up buying a 2012 weekly planner and two classic novels which surprisingly only cost rm10 each.

Another thing I just want to randomly share.
My student gave me this today ^_^

No...not the LG phone, but the four-leaves clover with a quaver note joint together with it hanging to my phone.
The four-leaves clover represents luck (as we all know it), love, hope and faith.
And I am in need for more them in my life, don't we all? LOL.

I should probably get going now considering I have things to get done by tonight.

And to actually turning it into my career,
it can't get any better than this.

Have you ever tried imagining what will you do if you never end up doing what you do now?
I tried...and honestly, I get a pretty dull imagination about it.

Why I love music?
Well, there are many reasons.
Music give me something that I can't find anywhere else.
That feeling of freedom to speak through music...is just wonderful.

And, I get to meet some amazing people along the way :)

Kick Start

Yesterday, I was in Shah Alam for the whole day.
I reached there around noon, 1pm something like that.
Went grocery shopping for the house party thing.
Had lunch at his house. Ate Domino's pizza =P
Helped Thairy cooking and the boys (his housemates) helped too...
It was a great day, a great way to start the year ^_^
I was having too much fun that I forgot to take any pictures ;(
These are the only pictures I took yesterday,
of Thairy cooking and the boys "pretending" to be busy. Haha.

We had grilled cheese for starters,
there was also salad that I made :p
main course was the awesome spaghetti that Thairy made.
We had ice-cream with some toppings for desserts.

It was fun ^_^
Then when I got home, in less than 5 minutes the whole neighborhood went blackout.
It was pitch black, I couldn't see a thing...and the torchlight was not working!
So we lit up little candles...I even took bath with nothing but the little candle as my source of light.
I feel asleep in the dark coz I was too tired.
All I know is when I woke up, there's electricity. Hahaha.

Well, this is all I can say for now.
Today is my last day to enjoy the holiday...
coz semester starts tomorrow...
my days of waking up at 5am starts again for another year.
I'm not sure if I should laugh or cry...hahahaha.

Counting to 2012 - the final post

Hello lovely people!
Can you believe that today is the last day of 2011?
We are entering what is believe as the apocalyptic year!!
So, let's start spreading some love around ♥
I will definitely spread some more love and I hope that the love that Thairy and I have for each other will become stronger and bigger next year (starting from tomorrow).

So...any plans for the next 12 months?
I'm still thinking things through.
One of it is either I should get my hair permed...hurmmm....

My hair is not that long, so, it might not look that nice if I perm it. Hahaha.
What other plans? I will definitely try to be more positive.
It's a learning process...I hope I'll get better at it :)

Whatever it is,
I know my first activity for 2012...
spending some time with Thairy and a whole bunch of friends from UiTM.
I haven't seen some of them for so long, it'll be like a reunion gathering.
Thairy will be hosting a little house party at his house tomorrow, which is the first day of 2012!!
I'm really looking forward to it :)

And what else...owh, I have something to share with people that hate me ^_^

Assuming you are smart enough to understand that, so I won't bother explaining.
Moving on...

I can't believe we are going to start a new year and go through all the ups and downs all over again.
Well, let's just hope I can accomplish more in 2012.

Counting to 2012 - the negative

There's always something bad happen every year, right?
Well, I had my rough times in 2011.
One of it will be the time when I didn't get accepted to conservatory.
It was pretty painful, knowing that everyone already think I'm a loser for wanting to be a musician and the fact that I didn't get in made a lot of people think I am a lot more of a loser than they thought I am.
But, it's in the past, and I prefer not to let it bring me down :)

What else?
Oh yes...I know I have some bunch of stalkers that always report whatever I'm doing in Facebook or even here in my blog that seemed to be related to whatever they are spying on to specific someone that I'm sure THAT stalker might read this and then go tell to whomever they are serving. Pathetic, right? Well, what to do...great and awesome people always come with haters. Heee~♥♥
and that "stalker" discovery whom identity I have no interest in finding out coz it's not worth the space of memory in my precious brain...also lead me to another...not bad, not terrible, not sad either...more like an incident that drag me into a narrow path of stupidity and immaturity which I find very funny, pointless and an utter waste of my time.
But hey, at least I faced it rather than running away from it. I hope my closing statement of that incident put an end to that narrow path...period!!

And then there are some minor negative incident that happened throughout the year...
Ouwh, another thing just came to my mind...
My general opinions that always get mistaken by someone as a personal attack and they start attacking me based on pointless accusation.
Yeah...those good ol' days. Hahaha!
I can't guarantee you that it won't happen again.
It just might.
But that's what happen when there are a lot of narrow minded people on this earth.
I respect other people's opinion, if you don't agree with my opinion then fine, by all means you can say "no" to it...BUT DO IT WITHOUT INSULTING MY THOUGHTS.
The worse thing is, they always hide behind the "anonymous" identity. What a coward.
I know...you probably wonder why I leave that "anonymous" option on. I can just turn it off and people can't comment anonymously, right?
Well...not all anonymous comments are from coward.
I don't decide for you to be a coward, you make that decision yourself.
So stop pointing mistakes all around you and start analyzing your own action.

Counting to 2012 - the positive

As we are entering 2012, I just thought of writing some posts about...anything that happened until this year, 2011 or even my hopes for the future.

Let start out with the positive things that occurred.
Honestly, there's a lot of little things that makes me happy.
Visited London and Scotland, see snow for the first time in life, went to Bali to perform, met new people, got a new and first nephew.
Thairy and I are still very much in love, we had our bumpy rides but those are the things that brought us closer.
I moved to first violin in MPYO.
Entered UCSI and get many new perspectives in many things in music.

It's not perfect, but it's not a disaster either.
Learn things in a good and hard ways.
Do lots of stuff...

Life has been pretty fair to me so far.

Sherlock Holmes : A Game of Shadows

Thairy and I had a movie date today.
We watched the sequel of Sherlock Holmes.
I must say...it ain't bad.
Smart twist...as expected from a genius such as Sherlock Holmes.
Nice music, good job to Hans Zimmer.
Dr.Watson has more roles, and I kinda like him better in the sequel.
If you enjoy the first Sherlock movie, you might enjoy the sequel as well :)

I always enjoy spending time with my beloved boyfiee :p
Well, we don't get to see each other that often, ever since he came back from Sabah, this is the 3rd time we see each other.
This year will be the first time he's around for new year since we're in a relationship...hopefully we get to do something together....and that will be the 4th time. Haha =P

The King's Speech

I just watched this movie at HBO.
Great movie, I don't personally think that everyone will truly enjoy it as it is a slow movie, and it requires your deepest attention to the dialogue.

It touched me in some ways that I could not explain...
as a person who is having trouble believing in oneself...
I understand how it feels like to always want to avoid the spotlight...
I understand how it feels like to having trouble believing in your own capabilities...
I truly understand the feeling of that insecurity.
I can relate myself to the king's fear. Who doesn't, right?
I'm sure we all have been through some self-esteem issue.
I know I have...all the time.

Great movie...
Don't you just love movies that are based on true events?
I find it very easy to relate to it in many ways :')

Christmas is just around the corner,
Everyone is excited and age is not the matter.

Everyone making a wishlist,
In hope for gifts they dare not to miss.

Even though Christmas is not my celebration,
But it turns out that I am no exception.

Santa dropped me an early gift at my door,
A gift that I prefer to ignore.

But alas, I can ignore it no longer,
As it caused me trouble and doesn't seem to make me stronger.

Yup...it's true. Oh dear me, I hate spectacles.
The last time I tried to put on a pair of spectacles before, end up with everyone calling me grandma.
And I swore that I don't want to wear it. PERIOD!

But at the same time I'm not a big fan of contact lenses either.
I don't want people calling me grandma, or school principle, or auntie etc.
But it happens EVERY SINGLE BLOODY TIME I try wear one of those glasses.

But I found out that I had a week of non stop migraine last time and the reason is because of my eyes.
So now my mom want me to have one T-T
I guess I have to meditate and prepare myself for the utter humiliation that I will get from people that I know sooner or later.

Hello.

Are you the type of people that have plenty of friends that remember you?
If not plenty then at least one...boy/girlfriend excluded.

For someone like me...
I can say that a bunch of people that I know are my friends,
but sometimes I don't really feel like I'm their friends.

I mean,
friends suppose to remember you, sincerely wants to hang out with you and stuff.
I...don't really have that.

If Thairy goes back to his hometown...
I have no one.
No one remembers me, no one ask me to hang out with them, and if I ask them to hang out, they're always conveniently busy with something.
Even if I am with a bunch of people, no one really pays attention if I say something sometimes.

Which of course makes me wonder...
am I a friend to someone?
I don't blame other people for not being a friend to me...
I'm sure it's me, considering it happens pretty much to a lot people that I know.
They don't hate me...but at the same time...I'm too plain.
I'm not interesting enough to be remembered.
I know...I'm a boring person. That's one of the reason why I am a friend when I am in their presence but just "someone-they-know" when I'm not around.

Like true love...I'm sure every individual have a true friend too.
I'm sure mine is out there somewhere...
that one person that I can be myself with and not feel awkward about it.
So at least...if Thairy is back to his hometown, I won't feel so lonely.
Because literally...
he is my love and my best friend...I don't have any other best friend BUT him.
I don't have any other people that will say "yes" when I asked to hang out, I don't have any other shoulder to cry on...
when we have argument on something and not talking to each other...the impact that it did to me is worse because I just keep everything to myself.
I remember not eating the whole day and lost weight from an argument last time out of depression because of no one that I trust enough to let it out to.

Which is kind of sad really...
it makes me feel very lonely at times.
And I don't want to complain too much about it...
but once in awhile...I just feel like getting it off my chest.

Bought these two books yesterday.
These books have one thing in common, which is I feel like reading the book after watching the movie :p

And I bought new set of strings. I never use Evah before, so thought of giving it a try. I tried Obligato before and people said it's not as nice as Obligato, so, I guess I'll find out :)

have you ever heard of Sereni & Shentel? If you don't, they sell hairbands online and you can check them out from their website by clicking---> HERE

I won't say that they are selling hairbands at reasonable price, for me, it's a bit expensive for a hairband. BUT...it does look really classy and it comes in many great colours.

I checked them out, but I didn't bought anything...until today...just now =P

Usually the price of the hairbands are rm120 (USD40) and above...each, depending on the design.
But just now, as I was checking out the website again, I came across a Christmas offer where they sell 3 pretty hairbands for rm120.

So, just thought of giving it a shot, I bought it. These are the 3 colours that I chose.

Oh my goodness...I have the potential to become a shopaholic.
I don't like it!

for the left picture...it was my first time using a curling iron...so, my curl doesn't look "curly" enough. As for the picture on the right, I just use the straightening iron.

Yesterday's MPYO concert was da bomb!!
Whoever that didn't come after I invited them...you just let the opportunity to witness a very special, unique, beautiful, amazing concert slipped through your fingers which cost you not more than rm35 or rm15 for students.
There'll be another MPYO concert next week, same price (as stated previously), same time (8.30pm), same day (Friday) and same place (DFP, KLCC). It'll be a fun concert to watch, not as exotic and unique as yesterday's one...but at least it will definitely be fun to watch as we will play songs from movies such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, James Bond, Les Miserables...and many more.

Well, gotta go now, tomorrow morning is the rehearsal for the part 2 camp...

When the last month of the year arrives, we will start thinking...
"time sure flies"

In 30 days,
we will begin a new year...
new hope...
new determination...
and perhaps new perspective...

My hope?
A lot. Countless.

Determination?
Plenty.

Perspective?
Plenty enough.

In 30 days, we will enter a year where people call as "apocalyptic year"
Does that scare me?
A little...
It's not death that scares me...it's the afterlife.
Do I think that the prediction will occur?
I honestly don't know.
It's possible, but then, we can never be sure of it.

I won't say that it's best not to think of it at all...
but it is best not to let it get you too obsessed with it.

Life is unpredictable,
we don't know how long we will live...
we don't know how long we can go to achieve our dreams...

So, it's up to you how you want to live your life before your time is out.
Either you want to make the best out of it...or the worse...
is entirely up to you.

My hope for now is...
to have a good December and end this year with happiness :)

Forgot to mention in the previous post of my shopping habits. Haha
I bought lots of things...but some of things that are special are these things, special as in expensive. Haha =P

I bought a Hard Rock pin for my violin case...
it's Rp175,000...which is in Malaysian Ringgit is somewhere near RM50.

Okay, this is NOT expensive at all...but it IS very special.
The fact that I can get a hand made key chain with our names on it is just cool. And it cost me less than RM2. I made it for Thairy :)

I also bought a Hard Rock t-shirt for myself.
It cost almost RM100.
I know it doesn't look "rock" and look more like "hippie"...
But I like it coz it's "hippie" looking shirt and colourful. Haha...
I like rock music, but I'm not completely into the fashion side, some of it I might like, but overall...I can be a bit hippie. Hahaha =P

And see that notebook that I'm holding in my hand.
Well, it's almost like a journal.
I bought in Safari & Marine Park
It's about Rp70,000...which is more or less RM20.

Obviously this is not all...I bought a Hard Rock t-shirt for Thairy as well, now his t-shirt is very "rock" looking. Hahaha.
But since I haven't give it to him yet coz he's still in Sabah, I'm not going to post a picture of it nor am I going to mention the price.

I bought bags too...one for me, one for Kak Zam, and one for Ms. Lina and Ms. Joey.
I gave to Ms.Lina and Ms.Joey yesterday. I bought one for each of them coz I will never be able to complete my scholarship hours without them last semester :)
Then I have 2 dresses, some other souvenirs for other people. Many other stuff...

Sorry I didn't update for quite sometime...
Just that there's so many things to talk about but I just don't know where to start :-P
Bali has been such an interesting, exhausting and wonderful experience for me.
Meeting new people all around ASEAN and Russia.
Seeing the wonderful Bali.
Had my best lunch and dinner in one day...as in, not just the food, but also the nice view that we get to enjoy while eating such delicious food.

Maybe I can show you in pictures...

I think you can clearly tell which ones are the Russians and which are from ASEAN countries.
First row, from left to right...
Myself from Malaysia, obviously. Zat, and then Saw both from Thailand. And then in green top is Finna from Indonesia (but not from Bali), and then we have JJ from the Philippines.
And those at the back, I just give up on spelling their names...I don't even how to pronounce some of it. Haha =P

Tomorrow is the day off!
Finally...a time to be tourist in Bali.
I went to Kuta yesterday morning...the beach was lovely!!
I bought a Hard Rock t-shirt...I bought the original one too...
I know people will say...you're in Indonesia...just get a grade A imitation...
but I don't know why...I wanted the original at that time :P
Well...I'll need to save some money, can shop till I drop tomorrow...but still need to save considering I'll have another shopping day next week :p

These past few days had been really exhausting.
Rehearsal in the morning until 7pm...when we reach the hotel and had our dinner, I'll go back to the room and practice until 11pm or until how ever long my body can take me.
Woke up in the morning...it's either I take out my violin and practice the fingerings or I just study the scores...
and during short breaks between rehearsals...I sat there practicing parts that I still can't play...
and why am I working so hard?
Because the repertoire is just weird...there's no slow song...AT ALL. Everything is super bloody fast...bloody difficult...so many high notes and running notes and we need to practice in a very short amount of time.
On top of it all...they gave us the score like....when the conductor wants to rehearse that song.
And the conductor conducts really bloody fast...
AND...he speaks in Russian...probably only 15% of the rehearsal he speaks in English...
what the hell...
Other than that...Bali has been great...
but the rehearsals are killing me T-T

New Month, New Journey

Good morning lovely readers out there.
My journey to Bali, Indonesia will begin...tomorrow morning.
Nervous? You bet I am. Excited? Hell yeah.
I am going to experience something new and I have all these emotions mixed up.
I changed rm500++ to Indonesian Rupiah yesterday...considering food and accommodation are provided, and we will be given daily allowance...I think it should be enough.
But I'll bring some Malaysian money just in case...I mean, I will probably spend some to do laundry there.

In Greek mythology, Pandora opened the box and released everything inside the box except for one...the one thing that was left inside was hope.

Can I find the box and release "hope" to the world?
This earth deserve a new hope.

People these days becomes more fragile to hope for some reasons.
So many "powerful" people never stop putting the fire out of other people who wants to be at the top and they deserve to be at the top, but these "powerful" people are just intimidated by them.

But maybe opening a Pandora's Box is not such a good idea...
Hope suppose to come naturally...not from a box full of evil.

I feel like I should update something about my activity last thursday (October 27)
I went to watch movie with Thairy, we watched Real Steel.

I won't say that the storyline is awesome or anything.
It's actually pretty simple and short, but they just stretch it and make it longer. There are some parts in the movie that I felt bored.
BUT...but..but, but...the fighting scene is just uh-ma-zing!!
I swear the final match in the movie get me to the edge of my seat.
It was great.
If I am to rate this movie between 1 to 10 with 10 being the best...I'll give this movie a 6. All for the action in it :)

Concert~♥

Last night, I watched a concert by Malaysia's Traditional Orchestra, more known as Orkestra Tradisional Malaysia (OTM).
The concert was one of a kind. The combination of Malay, Chinese and Indian traditional instrument create a unique texture.
I hope OTM will perform more, they deserve more exposure...the young generations need to watch this kind of concert and just appreciate the value of traditional instrument.

Thairy played in the orchestra last night, I came to support him...and the concert was nice.

And for some reason...I have some problem with myself...as always la kan...
For some who don't know me, I am a very shy person...and I am not friendly at all. I am usually the one that doesn't talk much in a group. And usually this will be mistaken as an act of snobbery.
Like, yesterday...after concert, there's this group of people that want to take a group photo. I know them briefly...I don't know some of them, but I know the other half of them briefly, but I never really talk or hangout with them. So, when I'm with someone I'm not use to...I don't just jump into a group photo uninvited...I'm just that shy.
Thairy jumped in, he knows them better anyway...he asked me to join in but I didn't...I just stay out of the frame. Well...it was kinda full anyway and I just don't know where to squeeze myself in. So, when he asked "Why didn't u joined?" and I just replied "it was full"....and he made faces and said "forget it". I swear I feel so bad, and that emotion last throughout the night...even until I woke up this morning...but it's just who I am, I'm not cool, I'm not friendly...it's the reason why I am never among the popular people...it's the reason why I am never among the cool people...I can't just change personality like switching the on/off button, I need longer time.
Thairy will go back to Sabah today...not going to see him until December, and I'll be going to Bali next week, if I can't get internet access...then I won't be able to be in touch with him at all for 3 weeks.
*sigh...*
what to do...I have a lot of....attitude problems that comes from my low level of self-esteem.

Hell of a Ride~

See this lady in this picture, yup...she played for a wedding gig last night and it was her first ever solo performance playing entirely by heart...AND...solo improvising for AT LEAST three different songs with one of it being the main agenda of the entire wedding...having a versus improvise with the saxophonist.

It was indeed a bizarre experience for her. She knew she didn't do so well in the improvising since she just played what she can, but not really in the groove of the song.
But, she did her best...and people enjoyed it, and it's a good experience.
Not sure if she wants to do it again, but at least now she knows that she can do it :-)

And she is also glad to get the chance of working with some really cool and talented musicians.
Hope she will get the chance to work in another "by heart" gig (hopefully without improvising too much) somewhere in the future :)

Hopefully the newly weds, Hafiz and Shereen, will live happily ever after till the end of time ^_^

It's been so long since I last update!!
It's been hectic...I can be sent to the mad house if it gets any more hectic than this.

Anyway, I have a few stories to share...
Last week, I played for wedding gig with UiTM orchestra at Shangri-La Hotel in KL for a very rich person's wedding.
It was insane...I mean...yes it's your special day, but do you have to go too far until you miss out the true meaning of a wedding?

This week, I'm suppose to play for the reception on the bride's side.
Which will be held in Marriot hotel in a larger hall which is more insane.
This time, I won't be playing in orchestra,
in fact, I just found out I'll be the main attraction...I was like WHAT THE HELL?
They expect me to have a versus improvise with a saxophone. Reality check...I NEVER IMPROVISE ON THE FREAKING VIOLIN BEFORE!!
And they expect me to play like Venessa Mae or one of Yanni's violinists...I'm like...
you expect me to be like them in less than 5 days? Do you have any freaking ideas how many years those professionals took to become professional at improvising??
Stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And now we change the topic...I have an exciting news to share...
a few months ago I went for an audition, which is ASEAN-Russia Symphony Orchestra of Young Musicians which will be held in Bali, Indonesia in November 2011.
4 Malaysians are selected to go and I am one of them.
I am so thankful, I never thought I will be selected.
Syukur Alhamdulliah~~

Chopstick

I bought a stick that people use to make a chopstick bun at hair accessory shop yesterday.
It was only rm2, and it looks like magic wand...which attracts me. Hahaha~
And frankly speaking...I don't even know how to do a chopstick bun =P
So, I learned how to do it...and I found out two ways of doing it.

Sorry, my hair a bit messy, I didn't pull up my hair properly.

And this one...

It's pretty cool.
But one down side of this chopstick bun is that it made me look like a grandmother. Hahaha...but it really holds up your hair nicely :p

Hi people!
I'm back...I'm not entirely free. I mean, there's still lots of things coming, but I just feel like updating.

This week is MPYO concert, if you are free this coming Saturday at 3pm...do drop by DFP and watch the concert.

Last Friday, I had my midterm exam, Music History exam.
I gotta say...I am not well prepared. I studied...literally ONE bloody day and two nights before the exam. As in, I listen to a few listening song in one night and continue to listen to some songs the next day...and at night I spent it by reading some simple notes. I was working that night before the exam with Po Ann for scholarship hours, there was a piano recital by Julie Bees...and we practically studied and watch the concert at the same time. Haha...well, at least Po Ann was more focused on the notes while me...are more focused on the performance. Hahaha.

Well, the exam was not so bad. My result is 53.5/60. I call it the 24++ result! Hahaha, ain't bad for a last minute study, right? Hahaha ^__^

Anyway, last weekends, as in Saturday and Sunday, I had MPYO rehearsals, so far so good...do come! ^_^

Anyway, I went shopping yesterday, I bought two pairs of shoes....

One is from Fit Flop...I always wanted to own this...I wanted the dark gray, but there was no size :( So I bought the black one instead...

And also this one...just coz it's cute and when I tried it on, it's so comfortable!!

Well...that's it so far...I gotta go. Bye bye people!! :)

after more than a month, he's finally back from Sabah ^_^
But he won't be back long though, he'll go back to Sabah most probably in October and God knows until when ;-(

There's a Raya open house tomorrow,
I wasn't really invited, but Thairy wants me to come.
So...I guess tomorrow is the first time I'm going to non-relatives open house, first time in 2 years I think? Or is it more than that, not sure, but tomorrow is an Open House day for me...which I was never really invited to in the first place...so...yeah...can't wait.

Hello people.
How's holiday?
Mine...well, not really that interesting.
Raya not as fun as it used to be. Basically the fun now has been passed down to the new generations. Most of us are all grown ups. It's the kids' turn to have their fun at it.
Most of my cousins that grew up together with me are basically married and already with kid(s), and the youngest among them are having SPM this year.
As for Raya money, I still keep 'em coming. Haha.
I'm not expecting to get much, but at least the amount that I get is enough for me to buy a brand new PSP Go. Which I will buy. I just ordered from my brother. Heee~♥

Happy Independence Day Malaysia.
A day to remember the moment where Malaysians regardless of races and religions stand united and fight for the right of their freedom.
I hope that bond of unity can be restored.
I am not saying that Malaysians are no longer united...but it seems that in the leisure of freedom that we are in, we tend to forget about it and start to focus only on the negative sides of other races.
Some are even ashamed to call themselves Malaysians.
Even though Malaysia is not the best country economically, not the country with the best views, not the best country for my musical career, but I am not ashame to say that I am a Malaysian :)

Hair Braids

Okay...I actually love hair braids, especially the cool looking ones.
So, today, I just wasted many hours learning how to do braids.
And I wanna show you some of the braids I did, it's not perfect, coz each of the braids I tried only a few times, a couple were at the first try :p
It might not be so obvious coz of the colour of my hair...but here goes.

This is a fishtail braid.
It's kinda messy...I am having trouble crossing the hair neatly :-/

This is actually a 4 strands braid...but since my hair is not long enough, it looks like a rope braid instead. And yes...it's also very messy. This is at my first try actually :p

Then...I learned how to do the waterfall braids...
I gotta admit...this is the trickiest one to do.
To be able to do a waterfall braids, you must know how to do French braid...
since I don't know how to do French braid...it took a little longer for me to learn coz I need to understand how French braid works...so, this is my very first try on French braid.

And from the French braid, I struggled and tried to do the waterfall braid.
After few attempts...this is the closest one I can get to a waterfall braid.

I still need to get use to the movement of the hair while doing it...
I'm sure it'll be easier once I got the hang of it.
Owh, btw, all the braids (except Waterfall braid), I learn it from one video...

Strings Quartet

Somewhere after the first week of Eid ul-Fitr, or also known as Raya Aidilfitri here locally.
I am going to have a quartet performance and the name of the quartet is Strings Attached.
If you think we get the name from the movie No Strings Attached....
well...you're right. Haha~

The members of the quartet are:
Wani (me) as 1st Violinist
Po Ann as 2nd Violinist
Azam as Violist
Jennifer as Cellist.

I don't know what will happen after our first gig, but I am really hoping that I can get serious with this quartet.
I have always wanted to be part of a quartet and improve my ensemble playing skills.
For now, we're not doing anything serious, just some light classical and pop songs for the Hari Raya Open House event that we're suppose to play for.

The quartet's playing skills are basically still at the surface, because the members don't really know each other that well just yet and our last rehearsal was sight-reading session.
So, we are in the process of getting use to each other's playing and working with each other.
I really really do hope that this quartet can go somewhere

UCSI Orchestra Concert last night marks the end of my first semester of the first year at UCSI as a music student under the Bachelor (Hons.) in Classical Music programme.

So, now I'm on a holiday until the first week of Raya before MPYO starts...and new semester will start as well.

The concert? I won't say it was awesome. I won't say it was disastrous as well...it is somewhere in the middle.

and your friends don't like it, or in other word, don't "approve"
which one will it be?
will you force your heart to close and keep your friends happy?
or will you just go for it and hope that if they're your friends, they will somehow come around and try to understand?

or in the other side...

how do you feel...if the friends of the one you fall in love with (whom are also your friends) do not "approve" of you to be with him/her?
will you feel angry? sad?
will you feel like you are ruining friendships between the person you love and his/her friends?

which one you think is more important?
to make your friends happy...or to make yourself happy?

i don't know how it feels like when your friends do not "approve" you to be with someone...
but i do know how it feels like...when the friends of the person you fell in love with didn't "approve" him/her to be with you...even though those people call themselves my friends too...
it does hurts...to know that a group of people think that i am "not good enough" to be with the one i love...
but in the end...i can't please everyone...they just have to deal with it
as selfish as it may sound...what do i get if i please them? they were never there when i need a shoulder to cry on...

but then...this is an old story, it was more than a year ago...
it's probably different now, probably they already changed their perspective...
i don't know, i don't really care, not worth my time...
but i am happy now, and that what really matters
if people don't like it...whatever, not like they can make me happy or anything

Have you ever been in a state of mind where you just get confused between what you want, what you need, the right and the wrong?
Have you ever think of why it happened?
Maybe you noticed something that is not yours, but you already have your own, and somehow you become like a child and is more interested in that thing that's not yours?
You keep telling yourself you like what you have but somehow there's a thin voice within you telling you that you're in denial?
And sometimes it's temporary and you manage to ignore it but then suddenly it just come back haunting you and it just really annoys you?
Yeah...I don't know what I'm saying either. Hahaha~

You know, ever since Ramdhan started, when I opened Tumblr to reblog some photos.

Yesterday AYO concert...I won't say the orchestra was superb because I feel it was a little bit too safe...but the violinist...the solo violinist....oh...my...God...
STEFAN JACKIW WAS EXCEPTIONALLY WONDERFUL!!
The Carmen Fantasy was jaw dropping!!
The Introduction to Rondo Capriccio by Saint-Seans was mesmerizing too.
He is just wonderful.
He's very expressive, he's intonation was...my goodness...it's like his violin was on auto-tune or something!!
And for encore he played Chopin's Nocturne in C# minor...it was so beautiful...I could cry...
When I was watching...my eyes were totally glued to him and him alone...
I wish I can watch him perform live everyday...
He's amazing, I'm in love with his playing ♥.♥,

Then, some random thoughts that I had probably yesterday or the night before yesterday.
You know how I always feel insecure about myself...
Well, not that I like it, or not that I'm doing it on purpose...
Just happen that I have a low self-esteem...self-confidence is a big issue that I always have.
But...I am not planning to stay the same...
One day...

When I look into the mirror...or when I look at a picture of myself...

or when I am standing next to pretty girls like those in the photos...
I am not going to fret...

Instead, I will be saying; "I am just as pretty, in my own way" :)
It might not going to happen now...but I will definitely turn that into a reality ^__^

And last but not least...
I kind of realized that I am quite a controversial kind of person...
People always misinterpret my original thoughts and start saying bad stuff.
But I usually don't take it personally...it usually don't worth my time anyway.
I know why people easily misinterpret, I don't put things in a straightforward way...
I hate that, it's like spoon-feeding your readers...I don't want that. I want their imaginations to run free.
Which is my one post can turn into many versions of interpretation...some are quite narrow minded, which results me to not take it seriously, it's their thoughts, maybe to them it's good enough. However, some are actually to my surprise, quite wise and meaningful. Even if it's against my principle, but it still amazed me and actually create new perspective.
But even if people want to go against my opinion, I don't really mind, it's their thoughts. But what annoy me...is when they hide themselves by going "anonymous"...if you wanna stood up for what you believe, don't be a coward and hide behind the screen alone. Be bold and brave enough to stood up for what you believe by showing yourself.
If not...well, you just give something to laugh about :)
Which is good, laughing is better than frowning or crying or scolding ^__^
So basically, in a way, thank you for the laugh :)

They Don't Care

Do you remember the song by the late Micheal Jackson called "The Don't Care About Us"?

I actually like that song, it really speaks out about the truth.
Especially in the politic sides of not just one country, but almost each and every one of them.
Who cares about us, the citizen?
The government? They just want our money, but their system still not up to the standard where we can be satisfied about.
The politicians who claims for equal rights? Their main intention was to bring down the government...NOT to help the citizen.
They NEED us for their benefits, they NEED us for our money...they NEED us so when they want to do illegal rally, hundreds and thousands will show up but they DON'T CARE about us.
If they CARE about us, they will make sure our living in this country won't be much of a burden, if they CARE, they will make sure no one will get hurt because THEY KNOW what's coming but they still do it anyway.
So, in the end, who care about us?
How can we unite when we can't even respect each other anymore?
How can we unite when we can't tolerate with others?
How can we unite when all we want to do is being racist?
How can we unite when all we think about are the bad things of other community?
What is happening to the world as we speak?
Why is there violence everywhere?
Is this the end of the civilized life as we know it?
Or is this considered as "civilized" now? A world with no respect...
The earth is dying...and all we ever do is making it worst instead of healing...
Wake up! Wake up from all these delusions created by "the people"...
Put aside the wealth, the standard, the religion, the race, the ethnic...we are all human beings...in the end...that's what really matters, humanity.

Yesterday, had dinner with Thairy.
He's going back to Sabah tomorrow, won't be seeing him for more than a month :'(
I'm so gonna miss him...
I must say, I am still very insecure about myself...
When there's a girl or junior or some girl that briefly know him from other people and that gets too close to him, and being bitchy and flirty and slutty, and usually they are all very pretty (even though sometimes they look like a whore, but still pretty in a slutty way), I will feel insecure...
When I see pictures of him and his exes...I will feel like it's unreal that I'm with him now coz previously they were all pretty, nice, interesting, loveable by the crowd and on top of it, popular...everything that I am not.
But you always make me feel like I have nothing to worry about, that whatever those girls do, whoever you've been with, it's not going to change the fact that you're my man now.
Thank you for making me feel that way.
It's kind of an assurance that you love me too just as much as I love you ♥♥

Yesterday, I watched a concert at KLPac.
Composers Series concert by the Faculty of Music, UiTM.
It features a lot of new compositions by Malaysian composers.
Well, some of the compositions are nice, and some are just...not my cup of tea.
One thing though...musicians of UiTM symphony orchestra (which are the music students), PLEASE LEARN HOW TO TUNE YOUR BLOODY INSTRUMENT!!
When during tuning session before the concert starts, when you hear the "A" from the oboe, you are suppose to tune your instrument to that A...not just play along by blowing A and then stop and feel happy because you just show to the audience that you can play the note A.
IT'S HUMILIATING to see AND hear!

Well, there's suppose to be another performance today, it's over already. Thairy performed. I wish I could go, I really do. But I was working T-T
It's not easy for me to be the audience and watch him perform, how frustrating :(

Well...there's nothing I can do about it...
To all Muslims...
fasting month of Ramadhan will start tomorrow...

I watched Harry Potter...last Sunday. Haha, I wanted to update sooner but I was just too busy.
The movie...well, of course it is no match for the book. But the movie ain't bad. I must say that it is among the best Harry Potter movies (considering I am quite disappointed with most of the movies).
This one is actually OK...it's not great, just nice. It didn't reach my expectation, but at the same time not a disappointment, so basically it's at average level.
However, it doesn't change the fact that I cried during Snape's death scene :'(
It was so sad!!
Weird though, I was expecting to cry when Fred died...but I was like "that's it?" during Fred's death. Hahaha~
I kinda salute Prof McGonagall and Neville Longbottom for being such a warrior :)
Well, the movie finally ended...bye bye Harry Potter~

Busy first or later?

In a blink of an eye, it's almost the end of my first semester in UCSI,
my 2nd semester will start in September, after Raya holiday most probably.
Now the course selection for next semester starts.
It'll be a short semester (two months only), so not many subjects are offered in the short semester.
I didn't take my Major instrument because I have my private teacher, and the fee for Major instrument in the short semester is actually pretty expensive.
I'm going to take a few written subjects...which might make me really busy next semester,
I'm not sure if Dr.Jeff will approve.
But after my time in UiTM, I am used to going to class non stop until there's literally no breaks for lunch/dinner. I've been there.
I've been in a semester where I need to write academic writing for more than one subject. I've been there.
So, in a way, I know what's coming.
The only thing that I might not be prepared of is the 2 months duration for the whole thing.
But somehow, my heart tells me to just go for it.
It's better to get myself busy now...so I can have more time later, right?
Hurmm...well, it is still up to Dr.Jeff either to approve it or not, we'll see...

Kinda annoying, that the July 9 event is over and people are still fussing over it instead of doing something about it.
Nothing but trouble. That is still how I look at it.
I am not saying the reason of the "yellow" people to fight is wrong...and I am not saying that the other people are right either.
I just don't like the way it is being handled.
I mean, I bet a lot of us seen rallies from the news before, thank goodness it was not as bad as that...but still, the damage is something that should have been avoidable.
I know, those who support Bersih will say "if the government listen in the first place it won't come to this, so it's their fault"
and I know also that those who are anti-Bersih will say "look at all the damage they have cost, some bunch of mindless, selfish people"

So, who is right and who is wrong?
Who wins and who lose?
Considering a lot of my MPYO friends are pro-Bersih and a lot of my UiTM friends are anti-Bersih...and I hate both side also...by saying the way they solve this problem is so stupid, I kinda able to feel the heat already. I bet things won't be the same...considering not everyone is as professional as they claim to be...so, I'm not surprise if I'm getting some words behind my back.

But...I can say this to them and they can say this to me also...
"Fuck what people think..."

And, I can't believe some pro-Bersih people are actually proud of the event...
That it made it to international headlines, that a lot of people were injured, one person died, all the trouble it cost to people in and near KL area...I can't believe they are actually proud over something like that and say it was a success? Oh my God...how much more mindless can they be? There is NOTHING...absolutely NOTHING to be proud of over something like this. Regardless of how noble the purpose they are doing this...but when it involves violence...that is what I call STUPID.

And, I also can't believe that some anti-Bersih people are happy by saying that the police did a good job at keeping peace. KEEPING PEACE? KEEPING PEACE?? I don't know if they are ignorant or just dumb...but I don't see any sense of "peace" exist during that event. There is NOTHING and I mean NOTHING to be happy about. Roadblocks were every where! NOTHING to be happy or proud of.

This whole thing is NOTHING BUT TROUBLE.

So, if leaders of Bersih said their so-called "non-violence-involve" rally was a success and the police think that their so-called "act-of-keeping-peace" rally was a success...then who is the losers?
Who is suffering over the damages?
Who's family member just passed away?
Who's injured?
Those people are the one who is suffering over their so-called "noble" rally.

And in the end...does both pro and anti people get what they wanted in the first place?

That's why I just REFUSE and NOT INTERESTED to be part of any side. Not because I am scared...but because I know...the way it is being handle is just a diversion of attacking each other by using their "noble" reason as a shield to cover up their real acts. If I am to choose a side, try to do it in a REALLY noble way...which doesn't involves violence, requires a HUGE and TREMENDOUS amount of patience and faith. Then I might be interested to believe that this "noble" act REALLY IS noble.

Since it's already past midnight, I suppose it is yesterday, when most Malaysians are busy pointing fingers blaming that side and that side (which is very common =.=")
Me and a few other OSR members decided to do something even better...
Regardless of the traffic caused by the nothing-but-trouble rally, we all decided to NOT let that be a reason to NOT have a farewell party for Liu Yi who is leaving to further her study this coming Monday.
We went to The Curve.

I think all Malaysians are aware of the political riot that will occur this coming Saturday, July 9.
What do you think of this "Bersih"? Will it help? Or is it just an excuse to create chaos?

Two sides of the story that I learn.

One side, said that this "Bersih" is nonsense because they are questioning what was agreed by the Malays, Chinese and Indians during the 50s or 60s (my history is really bad, sorry)...which are the official language of Malaysia (Bahasa Malaysia), the official religion of Malaysia (Islam), the special rights of Malays as the original citizens and also the power of the king and sultans, and they also agreed to NEVER questioned those four things. So, basically this side of people think that "Bersih" is breaking the agreement.

Another side said that it's time for a change, which is "Bersih". They said that those agreement was made during the time of independence day and it's been more than 50 years, so they want equal rights with the Malays.

So, which is right and which is wrong?
I won't say any of it is right or wrong because both sides are right and also wrong in their own ways.
Why?

Because this first statement, they just worried that if they grant equal rights, people will start questioning about religion rights, language rights, King and Sultans rights. I won't say that it is wrong to be worried, I mean this is Malaysia, and this is what resembles Malaysia, some people from the "Bersih" side are trying too hard to change Malaysia into Singapore. Like English as the main language, no azan from the mosque, etc...I mean, what the hell? No one said that you MUST speak Malay to every single bloody person. You don't see the Japanese, Italian, French, German, or even Vietnamese questioning their official language, right?
As for religion matter...if you don't like the azan...then why on earth you decided to move 5 feet away from the mosque in the first place?
So basically, yes, I understand why the first side wants to worry.

As for the second side, I won't say that they are wrong either. I mean, yes, they have been part of Malaysia and practically helped to improve Malaysia's standard of living all these years as well.
So, I understand if they want some equal rights as Malaysians. They will probably feel like their hard works in helping to develop the country are not being appreciated.
I totally get it.

HOWEVER...I think what about to occur this Saturday...will bring nothing but trouble to the country.
Because if you want your message to come across...you need to leave them with positive reaction. What's going on right now is leaving a negative impact to the unity of the society.
Again, I believe I mentioned this quite a few times already.
This thing happen when people don't know how to respect each other. They only want to argue and do illegal assembly and pin points all the things that they don't like without any effective solutions.
Seriously, there's a solution to all puzzles...but this riot is not the solution.

Even if the government grant what "Bersih" demands...I'm sure there will always be someone who wants more and more and more and more...
Tolerance and Respect...two things that need to be thought to Malaysians.
Maybe I should suggest to the Ministry of Education to include a new subject focusing JUST ON THAT MATTER in schools.

the story of Kopak and Sepit

Just now, when I came back from uni...I learned that there were 3 cats got themselves stuck at the back of my parent's huge, tall cupboard.
All this because the mother wanted to move her kids...I don't know how she got both of them stuck at the back there. Either she fell with one of the kittens and the other jumped in too out of panic...no one knows.
But anyway, I had to damage my parents' cupboard by making a hole so they can get out.
After the mother got out...I had trouble getting the kittens.
They were not moving, I thought they were dead...
But here they are...traumatic...and safe :)

Because of this incident, and to remember the incident...
I named the kittens Kopak and Sepit.
The one with white face is called Kopak and the one with black face is called Sepit.
How do I explain what "kopak" means in English...well, you know the hole that I made at the cupboard? Well, we kinda call it "kopak" while "sepit" simply means stuck. Hahaha~

The MPO concert that I went on June 19...it was not really what I expect. So, it was a bit frustrating in a way, and for the MPO...ensemble wise was kinda lousy that day during the Tchaikovsky, but I don't blame them coz the soloist was kinda hard to follow and the conductor is not clear enough. I mean, even if you wanna be all musical, you still have to make sure your musicians understand what you do, right? But, both the soloist and conductor are still young, they will have time to gain more experience :)

There will be two days of performance with different repertoire on each day.
I'm going to the 2nd day because all of the songs are literally my favourite.
There will be playing Prokofiev's Symphony No.1, Saint-Saens' Introduction to Rondo and Capriccio, Sarasate's Carmen Fantasy and my favourite symphony, Tchaikovsky's Symphony No.4.
Can't wait!!

I wanted to update since last Sunday but just couldn't find a proper time to actually sit and type to update!

The concert on Sunday that I went. Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto (my favourite violin concerto), was actually not so good, sadly :( I was a bit disappointed. I wish to update more in detail...but I am extremely tired. I think I will give a proper post in the future about the concert. I have to go now. Take care. Bye~

Hectic but Good

Finally, I am actually typing to update.
I opened Blogger a few times to update but in the end thinking I should be doing something else instead.

It's currently mid-term exam week.
So, basically there's exams here and there. Which explains the "hectic-ness"
But for some reason, I'm not really stressing out.
And it kinda give a good effect.
I don't totally screw up my Practical Skills exam, me and my group did quite okay for our presentation, not sure how the marks will be but I'm pretty confident we will pass the presentation. I manage to answer all the Music Theory questions during exam, I manage to get more than 10 marks out of 20 in history even though I studied like for only 30 minutes on the quiz day itself (not yet midterm for history) and there was also Chamber Music Ensemble (CME) mid-term and Ms.Leong did say for first year students, me and Wendy did quite well, and I got 17.5/20 for CME mid-term. Basically, so far so good :)

Anyway, I'm going to watch a concert tomorrow.

#1 : Moral of the Story?

Once there was an angel, he fell in love with a human lady. Since he's an angel and she's a human, they can't really be together. They were devastated. Then, came a devil, and offered to the angel the chance to become human and be with her. The angel asked; "What's in it for you?" and "When you die, you will go to hell with me", said the devil. After much consideration, the angel decided to take the offer. And so, he became human, he and his love was happy, the lady ran across the road to be with him. Suddenly, when the lady crossed the road, she was hit by a car and died.

Left heartbroken and frustrated, the angel did not know what to do. As a soul, the lady watched sadly at her true love. Then, the same devil came, and offered to bring her back to life and be with her love. "What's in it for you?" asked the lady. "When you die, you will go to hell with me", said the devil. After much consideration, the lady decided to take the offer. And so, she was brought back to life, and the angel was happy and felt a twinge of hope. He ran across the road to go to her. Out of a sudden, he was hit by a lorry, and died. Out of frustration, the lady killed herself. Which result in the end, both of them went to hell.

So, dear wonderful readers, what is the moral of the story?

#2 : Glee Season Finale

Just now was the season finale of Glee. Awesome! I'm not saying that the season ended in triumph or victoriously...but it was actually pretty meaningful. I really like the season 2 of Glee, there's a lot of meaningful stories. Even the song arrangements are nice. I'm not saying all of them are nice, but there are some really good stuff there :)

Cool Day

I don't really do much today, but I was out the whole day.
Went to work in the morning, after work, went to Bentley to take my payment for Pavilion concert (finally after so long), went to lunch with Shawal and Fad, then Thairy came after we finished our lunch. So, I went to accompany Thairy for his lunch after that.
We walked around The Curve, went to Ikea, bought some stuff, went to Ikano, ate a frozen yoghurt for the first time ever at Tutti Frutti at The Curve....then went to Tesco...then we went back :)

Nothing special, but fun to be able to spend time together ^__^

New Thoughts on Little Things in Life :)

Truth is, my true self is not really what I call a well-accepted attitude among people.
People tend to dislike me for me being me.
Because I tend to speak in a straight-forward manner, and in Malaysian culture, especially Malay, people tend to speak indirectly.
So basically when I speak too directly, people will say either I'm a snob and like to brag or I'm just rude.
I used to think that it sucks that people can't accept me for me.
But now, I actually think it is kind of cool.
Why?
Because...in a way...I manage to attract people's attention without trying.
Even though the attention leads to hatred, but still, in a way, my personality manage to caught enough attention to actually make them dislike me.
You probably wondering that I am not making any sense, right?
Well, to know without trying and not paying attention to the surroundings, and still manage to earn a stalker online that reporting my every moves might be kinda irritating in a way, but I still think it's awesome. Because stalker usually don't really have a life and love to bug people secretly...which kind of make them interested in knowing what we do so they can have their gossiping session with their "community" and talk crap and trash about us (the innocent people who just mind our own business).
So in a way...they are interested. Which is the reason why I think it is cool :) And honestly I feel admired...I know it's weird, but I do feel admired, haha!
Well, I don't know who's the stalker, but I know he or she is out there...and honestly speaking, I don't even want to know the identity of the stalker, coz where's the fun when you know the identity, right? Besides, the stalker might be a friend that I enjoy talking with, so, I don't want to ruin another friendship. So, I think I'll just let him or her secretly admire me and report my every moves, IT IS AWESOME! I FEEL SO AWESOME NOW!!! IT'S LIKE I'M THE COOLEST BAD ASS GIRL!! well, I know I'm not, I mean, I literally not doing anything illegal, but I do feel that way, hihi :P

Well, gotta go now people! Keep stalking...but keep it within boundaries, aite? I'm sure you're a smart stalker, my stalker must be a cool person too, coz I'm cool!! ;)

MPYO June Camp

Yesterday night was MPYO concert.

I personally think the rehearsal was better than the actual concert, too bad.
But can't really blame anyone, what happened was the unexpected, we are all human beings after all, people make mistakes, at least nothing disastrous happened.
Well, it might not be among the best concerts of MPYO, but it was my first concert as a 1st violinist in the orchestra :)
I admit I was a bit nervous, but I am thankful to be given a chance to play 1st violin.

My UCSI buddies came! I'm glad they came, I really do. Sadly, we weren't fortunate enough to be taking pictures together. Maybe next time.
I didn't take much pictures anyway, I upload only two. Which are...

Next concert is probably OSR tour to Terengganu...but I'm not really sure if I can play.
I want to...but there are things that I need to consider which just make me having difficulties deciding...
I kinda want to go...as Wan said..."I need a holiday"
since I am too busy to go for a holiday, why not use an orchestra performance in a different state as an opportunity, right?
But...like I said, there are things to consider...I guess we'll see how it turns out in the future :)

Well, I gotta go now, I have some works to finish.
